Corser gets dirty!!!


Taking time off from their World Superbike commitments at Albacete, several top riders managed to grab a few minutes of pleasure and enjoyment, doing what they do best .... getting back on their bikes for a spot of motorbike racing competition.
This time though, Troy Corser, Scott Russell, Aaron Slight, Colin Edwards and Alex Gramigni were on scooters and the tarmac they are so familiar with was replaced by dirt-track.
On Thursday afternoon, near the motorhome area around the back of the paddock, the five set up a make-shift circuit with old tyres and put on an unexpected and spectacular show for photographers, journalists, mechanics and the odd spectator present.
Riding scooters from their respective manufacturers (Cagiva, Yamaha, Benelli and Honda), they became motocross riders for the day on the undulating track, before resuming their normal WSBK timetable for the weekend.

Lasciando alle spalle tutti gli impegni WSBK ad Albacete, alcuni dei migliori piloti sono riusciti a rubare una mezz'ora di piacere e divertimento, facendo quello che fanno meglio ..... risalendo in moto per un pò di attività agonistica.

Questa volta però, Troy Corser, Scott Russell, Aaron Slight, Colin Edwards e Alex Gramigni correvano su scooter e l'asfalto così familiare a loro è stato sostituito dallo sterrato.

Giovedì pomerriggio, vicino l'area motorhome in fondo al paddock, i cinque hanno allestito un circuito improvvisato con le vecchie gomme, offrendo uno spettacolo inaspettato ai fotografi, giornalisti, meccanici e pochi spettatori presenti.

Su scooter prodotti dalle loro rispettive case costruttrici (Cagiva, Yamaha, Benelli e Honda), sono diventati "crossisti" per un giorno, prima di ricominciare la loro vera attività del weekend.
