Burning 2 Learn & Superbike Legends raise £4,000 for Charity

Burning 2 Learn hosted their first end of season Charity Evening on Friday 17th November with Guests of Honour, World Superbike Legends Frankie Chili and Troy Corser, raising over £4,000 for ‘Children in Need’ in the process.

The event was attended by over 120 people including past and present Burning 2 Learn students, Head Teachers, Teachers, Superbike fans and supporters from companies all over the UK.

The evening’s centrepiece was an auction of Superbike and other sporting memorabilia including Frankie Chili’s last ever pair of race boots, race gloves and visor from Troy Corser, race bike seats from James Toseland and Chris Walker, a signed David Beckham photo and a signed Wayne Rooney cap.

Burning2Learn Media Team’s AndrewLake brought down the gavel on a total of over £4,000 for ‘Children in Need’.Photographer Andrew was delighted to see that Frankie Chili and Troy Corser bought some of his work.

Commenting on the event, Burning 2 Learn Managing Director, Alan Dean said:“I can’t thank people enough for the support they have given throughout the years to Burning 2 Learn students, and to all who contributed on the evening.A special Thank You to our friends Frankie Chili and Troy Corser and their families for their continuous support and for believing in us.”

The Burning 2 LearnMedia Team Experience is looking very exciting for 2007 with talks currently in progress withWorld Superbikes ( SBK ), Quark and Apple to create a unique new programme for secondary schools and colleges.
