To promote the French round of this year;s Superbike World Championship, Troy led a group of racers through the streets of Paris to the city’s most famous landmark - the Eiffel tower. Troy and his fellow racers were given a police escort from the Eurosport offices to the Eiffel tower on a route which took in the banks of the Seine.
The cavalcade swept along with the police skilfully clearing the way on the ten minute journey before coming to a stop in front of the Eiffel tower.
After a photoshoot in front of the 324 metre tower, there was a press conference on the first floor of the tower, attended by international television and print media.
After the press conference, Troy went to the top of the tower for a bird’s-eye view of the Paris skyline.

This whole event has been fantastic. Driving through the streets of one of the world’s best cities on motorbikes with a police escort was amazing. I have been to Paris before, but the queues to go up the Eiffel tower were too long then, so Sam and I didn’t bother. When I tell her what I’ve just done, she will so jealous! I’m going to have to bring her back so she can see it for herself.
