Aprilia presentation - Wednesday 8th March Troy Corser and the Aprilia had their official team launch on a beautiful island in Venice lagoon yesterday. Troy and team mate Antonello joined Aprilia Grand Prix riders Harada, Melandri, McWilliams and Lucchi at the lavish reception which kicked off Aprilia's 2000 race season. Aprilia president Ivano Beggio gave the keynote speech, during which he pledged his commitment and support to the World Superbike Championship programme. He also said that he was very satisfied with the Superbike team's progress during winter testing and that he was confident in Troy and the team's abilities to be a contender this season. 

Troy As presentations go, it was good - in fact it was the best one that I have been to. The president of Aprilia, Ivano Beggio, even made a point of coming over and talking to me about the season ahead. He told me that he was confident in my abilities and that Aprilia are prepared to put into the World Superbike Championship programme whatever it takes to get the bike at the front. I was very happy to hear that and I'm now looking forward to the start of the season.
