Specialized Corser gets ‘Specialized’ at Misano

World Superbike Championship leader, Australia’s Troy Corser, went all ‘specialized’ at the Misano Adriatico round of the series over the weekend of June 20-21 when, together with Italy’s Massimo Meregalli, he was presented with a brand-new FSR Specialized® mountain bike.

The ceremony took place before Sunday’s two WSBK events in the circuit Media Centre in the presence of dozens of journalists and photographers from all over the world.

Specialized® (Italia) Managing Director, Ermanno Leonardi, illustrated the high-tech bikes to the international media and handed them over to the two top (motor) bike racers, who promised to give them a good work-out during their free time between the races.

Corser then proceeded to astound those present with a series of ‘wheelies’ in the Media Centre. The Australian, famous for his spectacular post-chequered flag ‘wheelies’ he has pulled in all of his 11 WSBK race victories so far, had no trouble lifting the front wheel of the ultra-light ‘Specialized’ machine up and demonstrated extraordinary control and balance in such a tight and restricted space!

On yer bike, Troy!
