Peter and Michelle Foster, or
"Peels" as the company is known, have been designing and manufacturing leathers
for many years. Peels started operating in New Zeland in 1984 when Peter claimed he was
"sick of getting hurt in other people's leathers". They have been involved with
motorcycle racing scene in Australia since they made the move over ten years ago.
Peter Foster is very selective about the riders he is associated with. When asked, he will
tell you that it was Troy Corser's professionalism and likeable personality, along with
his undoubted riding and racing skills, that encouraged Peter to support Troy. Peels
produced leathers for Troy throughout his national road racing career and gave him some
valuable advice when he was approached by other leather manufacturers prior to his AMA
debut. After considering all of the options, Troy began his current relationship with
Dainese.
Peter and Michelle Foster and their children have remained close family friends with the
Corsers.
