Boots

2007/2008 - The boots used by Troy in 2007 are the the Alpinestars Supertech model and have particular characteristics. Technical lightweight sole provides improved grip and feel at the controls for optimum riding performance. Innovative internal structure guards the shin, heel, ankles, toes and outside foot: it has two torsion bars which increase resistance and prevent hyperextensions. A new opening/closure system, featuring an inner side zip, makes the boots extremely easy to put on and take off and gives superior flexibility. Aluminium slider on the outside of the heel provide great impact absorption and limit friction in a fall.

The boots used by Troy are modified versions of the AxoSport K-Pro model and have particular characteristics. The rubber sole is flat, whereas normally it would have a heel.

The boots are made from Pieno Fiore cowhide, with the inside perforated in order to allow the foot to breathe more easily.

In order to offer better protection to the malleolus and foot, a preformed carbon plate is used with a special gel inside.  This perfectly follows the form of the foot, but immediately returns to its natural state when the boots are removed.

The toes of the boots and the part covering the foot is made from Kevlar. This guarantees greater security and resistance, since this area suffers from abrasions and stresses from the gear lever.

Instead of normal sliders, carbon reinforced sliders (with a thin titanium plate) are used to cope with the massive amount of friction when leant over.
