Kalani's first days
Kalani and Sam are both doing really well, remaining at the Princesse Grace hospital in Monaco for a few days. Kalani is doing great. He is such a little character. Him and mum are working out a bit of a routine and getting more and more used to each other by the minute. Trying to keep cool in the Monaco heat.
Sam is being seen by her doctor every day as too is Kalani. The paediatrician is very happy with his progress. He is eating well and making great weight gain. He is already over his birth weight and the doctors see no reason why mum and bub can't come home on Saturday.
The whole team in the Maternity department have been great, all the midwives and especially Sam's doctor, Dr Reda Djafer. He took great care of Sam during the weekends I was away and kept her carefully monitored all weekend when I was in Misano. He didn't have to be there at Kalani's birth as we had no complications however he wanted to be. I could see that Sam was much happier and more comfortable when he was there too. We have a good feeling with him and his English is great so it was good to have him there. He knew how much I wanted to be there for the birth and he kept such a close eye on Sam it was re-assuring for me. I hope to get him out for a game of golf some time soon.
Can't wait to have the family home... |
