Well, that was a much better weekend for me; although I have to say, I have never raced that hard for 10th spot before! After a race like that, I felt I should have won!! Then I raced back to Monaco by helicopter to be with Sam until our baby arrives.
It was a bit of a nerve-wracking weekend for us both, knowing that the baby could choose to arrive any day now but hoping that labour wouldn't start until I was back in Monaco. I got back in time for Sunday roast last night and found that Sam had sat quietly and carefully with her feet up all weekend, keeping the baby comfortable. Now we can both relax and eagerly await the new arrival.
Sam has been at the hospital every second day for monitoring, checking on her contractions and checking the baby's heartbeat and everything is going really well.
