I am very happy to announce that I have now signed a two-year helmet contract with Shark helmets.
I chose to join with Shark as over the past few years they have contacted me several times, however, out of loyalty to my then current sponsor, Suomy helmets, I have never entered into any serious discussions. I firmly believe that Shark have one of the safest helmets on the market and safety is at a paramount throughout their entire range. The RSR model that I will wear at the track is very safe and very well designed. With good ventilation, good fit and a good visor system, this is all so important to me during competition.
I am really looking forward to becoming a member of the Shark family of top-class riders and I hope to remain there for many successful seasons to come. I have an exciting new design for 2003 and 2004, by Chris Wood at Airtrix, which we are debuting in Valencia and are preparing production helmets in the next months. These will be available in various models throughout the Shark range and I look forward to seeing many of you in my new design in the next years!
